Janine Lazarus is one of South Africa’s most experienced media trainers and communication specialists, with more than three decades of experience as a journalist, broadcaster, author, executive coach and communication strategist.
A former crime reporter, investigative journalist, radio talk show host and television presenter, Janine spent many years interviewing political leaders, business executives, law enforcement officials, victims, perpetrators and crisis stakeholders under intense public scrutiny. This practical newsroom experience forms the foundation of her highly regarded media training methodology.
As founder of Janine Lazarus Media Consultancy (JLMC), established in 1997, she works with executives, boards, leadership teams, subject matter experts and high-profile spokespersons across a wide range of industries.
Aretha Kabaira
Aretha Kabaira is the Executive Assistant and Client Liaison to Janine Lazarus, providing high-level administrative, operational, and client support across key communications and training initiatives.
She plays a central role in coordinating engagements, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring seamless delivery of services within fast-paced executive environments.
